MAU Middle School Library Mission

The Mt. Anthony Union Middle School Library mission is to offer an environment and framework that fosters inquiry, critical thinking, informed decision making, and the pursuit of personal and academic interests that will guide learners to become lifelong contributing members of society.

 

Library goals:

• to support a climate where learners can formulate knowledge and develop new understandings and ideas for personal and academic growth
• to create an environment where learners can share knowledge ethically and make contributions to the school and the community
• to provide open access to technology and information resources in a variety of formats
• to deliver instruction, readers' guidance, reference and referral services in order to acquire and access information and technology in the school and the community at large
